Profile

 Angus Gill Biography
Angus Gill was born on the 5th February 1998. Born and raised on the Mid North Coast of NSW in a small country town of Wauchope, Angus grew up with a passion for Australian bush ballads. At the age of 8, retired professional country singer William Lane took him under his wing and taught him how to play guitar. Soon after, he was on the road of song as he started performing with the Hastings Country Music Association. He did his first public performance at the Star Hotel in October 2007 and following that, won his first talent quest in March 2008.
After his first succession winning a Wauchope RSL junior talent quest, young Angus decided to keep his dreams alive and aim high again in some more quests. In 2011, his songwriting and multi-talented music skills won him a place as an open finalist of the 45th CCMA Jamboree with his own song &ldquoNames upon the Wall.&rdquo

Following that win in November of 2011, Angus won the lyrics section of  the ACMF National Songwriting Competition with his song "Names Upon The Wall." He performs styles ranging from Country, Folk, Comedy to Alternative, Rock(abilly), Pop, Reggae, Jazz and Blues. He sings, plays guitar (12 string, 6 string, lap steel), banjo, dobro, mandolin, harmonica, drums, piano, ukulele, stompbox and didgeridoo. All of this at the tender age of 13
