The Maze have certainly squeezed a lot into their first 18 months together as a band and don't show signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Formed in early 2010 the band have already made an impact on the live scene with their infectious brand of melodic pop rock forging a solid fan base throughout greater Sydney and the NSW South Coast and have steadily built up their reputation of a great live show having recently played several headline gig's in their local area.
Hailing from the northern suburbs of Wollongong The MAZE are:
Zach Gervaise on guitar & lead vocals
Angus Bradley on bass
T-Dogg on keys & backing vocals
Jack Crist on drums & backing vocals.
Recent Grand Finalists and 3rd place getters in the statewide competition Youthrock 2011,The MAZE list being invited to support Shannon Noll in front of over 5000 people as a career highlight as well as playing at the legendary Basement nightclub at Circular Quay in Sydney. However the biggest thrill so far for the band was recording and releasing their energetic but melodic 4 track EP - Bad For You. Their launch at local venue Palm Court Hotel was a sellout with standing room only.
The MAZE have also caught the attention of local commercial radio station i98fm and have enjoyed regular airplay, interviews and chart position on their Australian Music Show charts.
With a collection of well crafted and lyrically potent songs that displays a poetic depth beyond their years, The MAZE offer up some organic-like pop that continually shines and draws the audience in. Their debut EP is available on itunes or can be downloaded from their Facebook Bandpage.
The 4 teens credit such musical heavy weights as influences including Green Day, Muse, Radio Head and The Beatles but have their own original flavour and fresh musical approach. They are passionate about performing, writing and recording and thrive on being in front of a live audience... The Bigger the better!
