Double Lined Minority

With the finals so close I thought I’d spotlight a definite contender. I was just thinking the other day about why Blink 182 was such a great band. Not sure if I like them as much now that Tom and Mark have kissed and made up but back when they cashed their record company cheque for the a music video and made the money rain with a pornstar on a bunch of kids in a carpark, I loved em. You can hear it in the music when a band’s having an absolute blast together and that’s what I hear with Double Lined Minority. I can almost hear the sweat fling off their rarely washed hair and impact onto the faces of the front row moshpit. They already travel between the Goldie and Brisvegas for their shows. They are, quite frankly, living the dream already. With a super pro sound, an army of voters and a distortion pedal, it’s pop punk into the top ten of My School Act. Two singers again, singing over the top of each other, solid band for sure, solid hooks, even the slower heartfelt numbers added in there, they know where they want to go too… Have you guys been practicing with my accent coach?? Only thing is, pop punk kind of died. Perhaps they are the second coming, perhaps they’ll need to evolve their sound a bit to something fresh, but one thing’s for certain. DLM are a packaged unit ready to go. I would like to hear them flung out of their comfort zone, but that’s just me, there’s a lot working already..
