2011 MySchoolAct Competition Prizes
This season of MySchoolAct features a range of amazing prizes available to Acts, Fans, Support Teams and High Schools:
1. MySchoolAct Grand Finalists
The Act selected as the overall winner of the 2011 MySchoolAct competition will win:
- $50,000 recording contract from Sony Music
- $15,000 publishing prize from Sony/ATV Publishing
- A Motorola XOOM
2. Top 5 Acts:
The Top 5 Acts from around Australia will be flown to Sydney to participate in a weekend of mentoring workshops and grand final event. The prize includes:
- Flights for all members of your Act along with a responsible parent or guardian
- Accommodation for all members of your Act along with a responsible parent or guardian
- 2 days of workshops and mentoring from music industry experts
- A dustproof, waterproof and scratchproof Motorola Smartphone DEFY for each member of the Top 5 Acts
3. A spot on the 2012 Big Day Out with thanks to Motorola
- Five Acts will be offered a place on the lineup of the Big Day Out in one of the following: Sydney, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth Big Day Out (all transport and transfers at own cost)
- The Top 3 Acts from each of the following regions will go into the running to be selected by a Big Day Out representative to secure their place on the Big Day Out 2012 line-up in their nearest city; NSW/ACT, QLD/NT, VIC/TAS, SA &WA
- A dustproof, waterproof and scratchproof Motorola Smartphone DEFY for each Act (5 total)
4. The Motorola Music Prize

5. Are you a tireless worker behind the scenes of a MySchoolAct Act? Well now is your time to step out into the limelight and get the recognition you deserve! Support Crews are in the running to win:
- $20,000 scholarship in Film Production from SAE
- $20,000 scholarship in Audio Engineering from SAE
- $20,000 scholarship in Design & Multimedia from Qantm College
6. Fans
